Integral Scientific Software is a member of the Association of
Shareware Professionals (ASP), an organization formed in April 1987 to
strengthen the future of shareware (user-supported software) as an
alternative to commercial software. Its members, all of whom are
programmers who subscribe to a code of ethics, are committed to the
concept of shareware as a method of marketing.

■0101
THE GOALS OF ASP
The primary goals of the Association of Shareware Professionals are:
To inform users about shareware programs and about shareware as a
method of distributing and marketing software;
To encourage broader distribution of shareware through user groups
and disk dealers who agree to identify and explain the nature of
shareware;
To assist members in marketing their software;
To provide a forum through which ASP members can communicate, share
ideas, and learn from each other; and
To foster a high degree of professionalism among shareware authors
by setting programming, marketing, and support standards for ASP
members to follow.

■0102
THE STANDARDS FOR THE ASP - PROGRAMMING
The program meets the ASP's definition of "shareware" (i.e. it is not
a commercial demo with major features disabled, nor a time-limited
program).
The program has been thoroughly tested by the author and should not
be harmful to other files or hardware if used properly.
┌─────────────┤ How The Integral Scientist complies: ├──────────────┐
│ The Integral Scientist (shareware version) is complete with all │
│ features and differs from the licensed version only in presenting │
│ registration reminders. The licensed version may also contain │
│ additional data in certain categories. │
│ The Integral Scientist has been thoroughly tested and is believed │
│ to be free of any bugs. It accesses and uses only its own files. │
└───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

■0103
THE STANDARDS FOR THE ASP - DOCUMENTATION
Sufficient documentation is provided to allow the average user to try
all the major functions of the program.
Any discussion of the shareware concept and of registration
requirements is done in a professional and positive manner.
┌─────────────┤ How The Integral Scientist complies: ├──────────────┐
│ The on-disk documentation thoroughly explains every feature of │
│ the program except for instructions for branding a licensed copy │
│ with the license holders serial number. Every command and action │
│ of the program is included and documented in the shareware disk. │
│ Integral Scientific Software, and ASP member-author David Trump │
│ are committed supporters of the goals and strictly adhere to the │
│ standards of the Association of Shareware Professionals. │

■0104
THE STANDARDS FOR THE ASP - SUPPORT
The member will respond to people who send registration payments as
promised in the programs documentation. At a minimum, the member
will acknowledge receipt of all payments.
The member will establish a procedure for users to report, and have
acknowledged, matters such as bug reports, and will describe such
means in the documentation accompanying all versions of the programs.
The author will respond to written bug reports from licensed users
when the user provides a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Known incompatibilities with other software or hardware and major or
unusual program limitations are noted in the documentation that comes
with the shareware (evaluation) program.
┌──────────────┤ How The Integral Scientist complies: ├─────────────┐
│ All shareware users who register will receive the latest software │
│ and manual. Any user, licensed or not, can submit a bug report │
│ or evaluation form. All such communication will be acknowledged │
│ if accompanied by return postage (Print the file: REGISTER.ISD). │
│ There are no known incompatibilities and no unusual limitations. │
└───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

■0105
THE STANDARDS FOR THE ASP - GENERAL
Members will keep the ASP appraised of changes in mailing address;
which shareware programs they have published and are currently
supporting; the current version numbers; and of any change in the
status of their programs.
If a user has a dispute with an ASP member-author, the user may
appeal to the ASP to mediate for arbitration of the dispute.α
